According to Give Me Sport, Manchester United are open to signing Raheem Sterling as long as the winger accepts their conditions. Those include being a squad player as well as taking a significant pay cut from his current £325,000-a-week wages, as Chelsea are desperate to offload him.

Recent reports pointed toward a possible swap deal with Manchester United with Jadon Sancho going the other way. Sancho was reportedly open to the idea as discussions were held to find a solution to what would have been a complex deal to conclude.

Secondly, the Red Devils are only insisting on a squad role for the winger, meaning he will be backup to Marcus Rashford, although there are chances of him being used on the right wing as well as in a false-nine role if required.
