Chelsea have asked to be kept informed on Jadon Sancho

Chelsea are still considering a move for Jadon Sancho if they can send one of their unwanted stars as part of the deal to Manchester United.

According to Graeme Bailey, Chelsea has asked to be kept informed on Jadon Sancho’s situation as they could ponder a late move for the 24-year-old Manchester United ace. The Blues are open to letting players like Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell join the Red Devils as part of the deal for the winger, as that could suit their ideas.

Chelsea keeping tabs on Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho could be one of the biggest stories around deadline day, as his Manchester United future has been thrown into uncertainty. Following a year away from the team following a disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag, he did redeem himself with a successful loan to former side Borussia Dortmund.

The German side were priced out of a permanent deal by Manchester United’s 40 million asking price, while there are some talks about Juventus being interested. The latter are still in the race and would be willing to make a move if they can sell Federico Chiesa and agree on a loan move for Sancho.

Chelsea are also an interested party in the Sancho saga despite Fabrizio Romano recently ruling out the prospect. The Blues are looking at some solutions for internal problems involving Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, who are no longer part of their plans and are free to leave.

Chelse has explored the idea of including Sterling in a deal to sign Sancho and could do so with Chilwell, too. Hence, the Blues have asked to be kept informed on the 24-year-old Manchester United ace’s situation ahead of the next few days, as they could potentially make a move for the winger in the dying days of the window.

Sancho to Chelsea would make sense

Chelsea are stuck with enormous wages for Sterling and Chilwell, as using them in a deal for Sancho would make sense. However, there are further complications due to the 24-year-old Manchester United ace’s salary at Old Trafford, something they will have to negotiate with the player to take a massive pay cut.

Much will depend on the project on offer and how much of a role they can give the winger ahead of the season. Chelsea are also stacked with young attackers, with Joao Felix and Pedro Neto the latest arrivals in their squad, which would see Sancho entering a space of intense competition.
