Noni Madueke set for Chelsea stay

Noni Madueke will stay at Chelsea after a dazzling display on Sunday despite his persistent links with a move to Newcastle United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Noni Madueke has decided to stay at Chelsea despite some links with a move away. The winger put in a dazzling display against Wolves on Sunday, which will have further asserted the idea from the club to keep hold of the promising star.

Noni Madueke is not leaving Chelsea

There has been a lot of chatter surrounding many Chelsea stars ahead of the final days of the transfer window, including Noni Madueke. The winger, a big signing in the January window of 2023, has had a mixed time so far but has never given consistent chances to shine.

With things looking bright under new boss Enzo Maresca, who did show that he could use Madueke on his preferred right-wing role while accommodating Cole Palmer in the No.10 role, the results have begun to flow. At the weekend, the 22-year-old Chelsea ace scored a hattrick, with Palmer laying the assists for all those goals.

Hence, Chelsea may look to persist with this plan and keep this setup intact beyond the transfer deadline. There were some rumours linking Chelsea with Jadon Sancho, but Fabrizio Romano has ruled out the possibility. Had they pursued a deal for the Manchester United outcast, the future of Madueke might have looked grim.

Madueke intends to stay at Chelsea despite suggestions that the club were considering bids for the winger. Now, the hierarchy and Maresca are on the same page with the attacker, as he’s set for a stay and likely to play a vital role in Chelsea’s season.

No Newcastle United move for Madueke

Newcastle United were reportedly told to pay £30 million, which seemed reasonable, although the Magpies might have made a bid had they managed to find a solution for Miguel Almiron. The Paraguayan is still at St James Park, and there’s barely any interest being generated so far.

Madueke might have been a brilliant addition to replace Almiron, although his dazzling display against Wolves might have changed a lot of minds regarding his current status. Should he go on to have a good enough season with Chelsea, the Magpies might see his price skyrocket next summer.
