Juventus make approach for Raheem Sterling

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from the West London club this summer.

Raheem Sterling has fallen down the pecking order at Chelse, and he might need to move on in search of regular playing time. The England international was recently dropped from the matchday squad against Manchester City, and he is bewildered with the situation. The player’s representatives released an official seeking clarity over his future.

It seems that the 29-year-old is no longer a key part of Chelsea’s plans going forward, and it will be interesting to see if the Blues decide to cash on him. He has been linked with a number of clubs and recent months. But a report from the Daily Mail claims that Juventus are looking to secure his signature.

The Italian giants have submitted an enquiry for the Englishman, and it remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the player. Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move away from the Serie A club this month, and it seems that they are looking at Sterling as a potential replacement.

Raheem Sterling was a top-class player during his time at Liverpool and Manchester City. He has not been at his best since he moved to Chelsea. But there is no doubt that he is a top quality player. If the 29-year-old manages to get back to his best, he would be a superb acquisition for Juventus.

Sterling to move to Serie A?

A move to Serie A could be an exciting challenge for the England international. He will want to play regularly at this stage of his career and if Chelsea cannot provide him with that opportunity, he should look to join another club.

Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in European football, and they could provide him with the opportunity to push for trophies on a regular basis. It would be a fresh challenge at this stage of his career as well. It remains to be seen whether the Italian club can secure an agreement with Chelsea before the summer transfer window closes.
