Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa keen

Chelsea need to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer, and the 27-year-old could be a quality option for them. The Englishman is capable of slotting into multiple defensive roles, and he will help the Blues tighten up at the back.

Apart from his qualities as a defender, Joe Gomez is excellent with the ball at his feet, and his distribution skills would add a new dimension to the side. On the other hand, Aston Villa could use a quality central defender as well and have set their sights on the Liverpool defender.

Gomez could compete with Ezri Konsa and Pau Torres for the starting spot this season. The 27-year-old will certainly fancy his chances of playing regularly for the West Midlands club. They will be able to offer him UEFA Champions League football as well.

Aston Villa need more quality in the side after finishing in the top four last season, and someone like Gomez would be the ideal acquisition. Apart from his qualities as a player, his leadership skills and winning experience could prove to be invaluable as well. He has won every major trophy with Liverpool at the club level.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are struggling to agree on a deal with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi, and Joe Gomez could be a cheaper alternative. He could form a solid partnership with Sven Botman and Lloyd Kelly.

Newcastle United struggled for consistency on the defensive front last season, and they will look to finish in the top four this season. They need defensive reinforcements, and the 27-year-old Liverpool star could transform them at the back.
