Ipswich Town are reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old Chelsea attacking prospect Armando Broja this summer.
According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, newly promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town have approached Chelsea regarding a move for 22-year-old striker Armando Broja.
Broja needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and a move away from Chelsea would be ideal for him. The Blues will not be able to provide him with ample game time this season. The youngster cannot afford to sit on the bench at this stage of his career, and he needs to play more often to fulfil his potential.
Ipswich Town could provide him with that opportunity, and it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a deal with the Blues. The newly promoted side will look to secure safety in the Premier League this season and they need quality additions this summer. Signing a goalscorer should be one of their priorities.
Broja would be a quality addition for Ipswich
The 22-year-old has previously shown his quality during a loan spell at Southampton, and he is certainly good enough to start for a Premier League club. He could get the necessary exposure at the newly promoted Premier League club, and the move would benefit all parties.
If the 22-year-old manages to impress at Ipswich Town, Chelsea will be able to sell him for a sizeable amount of money next summer. Alternatively, the player could look to push for a place in the first team at Stamford Bridge if he returns as a better player at the end of the season.
For now, it would be ideal for the striker to move on. It remains to be seen whether Ipswich Town try to sign him permanently or on a loan deal. Chelsea need to bring in attacking options this summer as well, and they have shown interest in several strikers, including Victor Osimhen.
The Blues were overly dependent on Cole Palmer last season, and the England international needs more support in the attack. Signing a reliable goalscorer should be a priority for Chelsea this summer. Getting rid of players like Broja will help raise some funds for their own signings.
