Napoli open to including Romelu Lukaku in deal to sell Victor Osimhen to Chelsea

Chelsea have been linked with a move for 25-year-old Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, and a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku might be on the cards.

Victor Osimhen is a target for the Blues and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea can get a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku done. According to a report from The Guardian, Napoli are open to accepting Lukaku in a deal for Osimhen.

Osimhen has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world, and he could transform Chelsea in the final third. The Blues were overly dependent on Cole Palmer for goals last season, and they need a reliable goalscorer who can lead the line for them and find the back of the net consistently.

Osimhen would be the ideal acquisition for them. Nicolas Jackson has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining Chelsea. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can work out part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian international, valued at £30 million by Chelsea, has already agreed a contract with Napoli.

Romelu Lukaku will look to leave Chelsea

The Belgian striker does not have a future at Stamford Bridge, and he is expected to leave the club permanently. If his departure can help Chelsea sign Osimhen, it would be a win-win situation for all parties

Lukaku was on loan at AS Roma last season, and he was quite impressive for them. He has proven his quality in Serie A over the years. He could hit the ground running and improve Napoli in the attack. Lukaku scored 21 goals in all competitions last season, and he will want to continue in that vein of form next season.

Furthermore, the experienced striker has played under Antonio Conte in the past, and he helped the Italian manager win the league title during their time together at Inter Milan. A reunion will be quite attractive for all parties.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has proven himself in Italian football, and he helped Napoli win the Serie A title recently. He will look to take up a new challenge at this stage of his career, and a move to the Premier League will be quite ideal for him. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can get the deal done.
