Tottenham Hotspur grant permission to Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil to explore summer moves

Tottenham’s official website confirmed that they are ready to allow Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil to explore a move away from the club.

According to Football London’s Alasdair Gold, Tottenham are ready to offload Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil this summer. Their official website confirmed the news that the Spurs would keep the Spanish drop away from their pre-season tour to allow them to search for a new challenge elsewhere.

Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil to leave Tottenham?

Tottenham is in the process of adding key signings to its squad this summer, and it is willing to allow a few more departures. Some players, including Spanish duo Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil, are not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans going forward.

Tottenham’s official squad announcement on their website confirmed the news that the club will keep the Spanish pair away from their pre-season tour to South Korea and Japan. In fact, they clearly mention that they will be allowed to explore new opportunities in the market, meaning they have no future at the club.

It’s a tough time for the pair, who had come into the club at various stages with big expectations following their performances in La Liga. Reguilon spent last season on two separate loans at Manchester United and then Brentford, as he did make an impression, leading to a few sides, including the Red Devils, who have retained an interest

As for Bryan Gil, he had been heading out on loan spells away since joining from Sevilla and could make his return to Spain once and for all. He does not want another temporary move and would prefer a permanent exit from the club

Tottenham’s transfer plans

With the season starting in less than a month, Tottenham have a lot to plan, especially with new signings. Postecoglou wants a striker as a priority, and some names have been thrown into the mix. Meanwhile, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s move to Marseille also opens the need for a new midfielder, which the manager would view as an essential signing.

A new centre-back is also needed to shore up the defensive ranks, while they might have to find suitable cover for both full-backs, Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro. Emerson Royal could be on the move despite some problems in his transfer to AC Milan, while there might be other exclusions, such as Giovani Lo Celso.
