Richarlison open to Saudi Pro League move

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison is reportedly open to a move to the Saudi Pro League ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Richarlison’s future has been the talk of the town for a while now. The Tottenham forward has been linked with a move to the Middle East and according to a report from HITC, the Brazilian international has now confirmed to the Saudi Pro League that he would be interested in making a move this summer.

After making a name for himself at Everton, Richarlison joined Tottenham in a deal worth £60 million back in 2022. The versatile forward’s debut season did not go according to plan as he could only find the back of the net once in his 27 league outings.

But, things did improve in the second season under Ange Postecoglou as the figure rose to an impressive 11 league goals last term. The Brazilian still has three years left on his deal with the North London club but he could be on the move this summer amidst interest from Saudi Arabia. Tottenham won’t have a problem sanctioning his departure as long as they get the £60 million that they had invested in bringing him to the club.

Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are interested in the 27-year-old. They have signed quite a few stars from the Premier League in the recent windows and are looking to carry on in a similar fashion this time as well.

Richarlison is ready to join Saudi Pro League

Richarlison could be a star signing for the Saudi Pro League, and he will surely strengthen any team that he walks into. His abilities along with the fact that he can feature anywhere in attack make him a great option for the league.

PIF-owned Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli are both keen on signing him along with newly promoted Al-Qadsiah, who are owned by oil giants Aramco. The Saudi Pro League are looking to complete the transfer and allow the three clubs to battle for his services.

The report has made quite clear that the Tottenham forward is ready to leave Europe. He has already informed the Saudi Pro League that he is interested in making the move to the Middle East following which they are ready to step up their interest in him in the coming weeks.

Given the financial strength of the clubs from that part of the world, it might not be a problem for them to meet Tottenham’s £60 million demands. Richarlison’s departure could be a big boost for Spurs as it will give them enough funds to sign a star striker, which has been their priority since the start of the window.
