Liverpool make approach for Rayan Ait-Nouri

Premier League heavyweights Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry for Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, a target for Chelsea.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Rayan Ait-Nouri is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back is also a target for fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester City. However, the Reds might be the front-runners, having made an enquiry for the Algerian international, valued at around €45 million.

The Rayan Ait-Nouri story

Rayan Ait-Nouri has been one of the best young wing-backs in the Premier League since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from Angers SCO. While he has not been the undisputed first-choice left wing-back for the Black Country outfit, he has made considerable progress at Molineux in the last four years.

A native of Montreuil, he spent his formative years in France but has represented Algeria on the international stage. As for the player’s stint with Wolverhampton Wanderers, he has turned out 116 times thus far for the Premier League clubs while chipping in with seven goals and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Rayan Ait-Nouri’s progress at Wolverhampton Wanderers has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, particularly in the Premier League. Chelsea and Liverpool are among the prospective suitors of the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers want around €45 million to part ways with him.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Chelsea’s interest in Rayan Ait-Nouri is understandable. The Blues have been keen on signing a left-back in the summer transfer window due to Ben Chilwell’s fitness issues. While Marc Cucurella faced an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge for a long time, he might have resurrected his career. So, Ait-Nouri is a viable target for Chelsea.

As for Liverpool, the Reds are eager to sign a left-back to compete with Andrew Robertson, with Kostas Tsimikas facing an uncertain future at Anfield. So, the Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back is a viable target for Liverpool. The Reds have now submitted an enquiry for the Algerian international.

It is unclear if Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to meet Wolverhampton Wanderers’ valuation and paying €45 million to secure his services. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old is also a target for Premier League champions Manchester City.
