Dani Olmo has “good offers” from Manchester City, Bayern Munich

Manchester City and Bayern Munich have reportedly submitted “good offers” to RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo, a target for Barcelona.

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, relayed by Sport Witness, Dani Olmo is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are keen on re-signing the RB Leipzig playmaker in the summer transfer window. However, the Spanish international “has good offers” from Bayern Munich and Manchester City, with the two clubs capable of triggering his release clause of €60 million.

Dani Olmo at RB Leipzig: The story so far

Dani Olmo has been one of the best playmaker in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2020. The 26-year-old has been a mainstay in the middle of the park for his club and country in the last few years and was instrumental in Spain returning to the summit of European football by winning the UEFA Euro 2024 final against England last weekend.

The Spaniard ended the campaign with three goals and two assists, becoming a pivotal figure for La Roja in the knockout rounds and sharing the Golden Boot along with five other players. As for his stint with RB Leipzig, Olmo has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for the Bundesliga club while chipping in with 29 goals and 34 assists. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has alerted top clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Barcelona.

A man in demand

Recent reports have pointed to Bayern Munich being in the pole position to sign the Spanish international in the summer transfer window. The Bavarian giants are eager to return to the summit of German football after meekly surrendering the Bundesliga title last season. So, Olmo has emerged as a viable target for them.

The report has claimed that Bayern Munich and Manchester City have made “good offers” to the 26-year-old Spaniard. The Premier League champions have been advancing the move to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Manchester City should not have any qualms about triggering his release clause of €60 million to land him.

However, coughing up €60 million to re-sign the Spanish international might be an issue for Barcelona. While the Catalan giants are keen on bringing the RB Leipzig playmaker back to the club, they might not have the financial strength to afford a deal, especially with their top target, Nico Williams, being a big-money candidate.

So, Manchester City and Bayern Munich find themselves in a healthy position to beat Barcelona to Dani Olmo’s signature in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see who land the Spanish international.
