Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea establish contact with Andreas Pereira’s representatives as they plot a raid on Fulham.
According to a report from Ge, Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of Andreas Pereira as they look to reinforce their midfield. With Conor Gallagher likely to leave the club, they have already started working towards signing a potential replacement.
The Blues have already contracted his agent Kia Joorabchian for more information regarding a move to Stamford Bridge. While he has been an integral part of the Fulham setup over the last two seasons, the player is keen on going on a new adventure.
He made the move from Manchester United to the Cottagers in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth just £10 million. Things might not have worked out well for him at Old Trafford but the transfer to Fulham has allowed him to revive himself.
The 28-year-old had an impressive season last time out as he contributed towards 12 goals in his 44 outings. While he still has two years left on his deal, he seems to have reached an agreement with the Cottagers for a move away.
Chelsea making moves to sign Pereira
Chelsea are positioning themselves to make the most out of the situation. The Blues are looking to sanction the departure of Conor Gallagher who only has 12 months left on his deal. They do want to risk losing out on him for free next summer and have set an asking price of £50 million for the England international.
His departure will be a huge boost for their books as he is a homegrown player but it will leave a massive void. Chelsea are looking to bring in a quality replacement and have their eyes set on Pereira. With Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham keen on Gallagher’s signature, there are high chances of his departure.
£35 million out of the amount raised from his sale will be reinvested to bring the Brazilian international to Stamford Bridge. They are already in talks with Joorabchian to find out exactly what conditions are needed to secure his services and are waiting for the window to unfold to advance in negotiations which will depend on Gallagher’s potential departure.
