Chelsea will have to fork out over €20 million to sign Leeds United attacking sensation Crysencio Summerville this summer.
According to Sébastien Denis, Premier League giants Chelsea are keen on signing Crysencio Summerville as they look to add more quality to their ranks. There is no shortage of interest in the Leeds United sensation’s services, who is valued at over €20 million by the Championship outfit.
Summerville came up the ranks at Feyenoord before making the move to Leeds United in the summer of 2020. He started with their Under-21s before getting promoted to their first team a year later. The Dutchman has gone from strength to strength in recent seasons.
The winger was involved in 49 matches across competitions last season. He ended up scoring 21 goals and even bagged 10 assists to his name. While Crysencio Summerville did give his all, it was not enough to bring Leeds back to the Premier League as they lost the play-off final 1-0 to Southampton.
The Yorkshire-based club did fail to secure an immediate return. But we could still see Summerville in action in the English top flight next season, given the amount of interest in him. While he still has two years left on his deal at Leeds United, they will find it difficult to keep hold of their star amidst interest from four top English clubs.
Chelsea keen on Summerville, will cost over €20 million
Chelsea are one of the clubs who are keen on having the Dutch youth international in their squad. They want more firepower in attack, to be prices the Blues want a new left winger who can add more quality to the final third.
Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk have not done enough on the left flank, and they feel Crysencio Summerville could be a great addition to their squad because of his versatility. He will strengthen the left flank and also add more depth in different attacking roles.
Leeds United want over €20 million for the 22-year-old winger, who was one of the best players in the Championship last season. While the price tag might not be that big a problem for the Blues, they will face significant competition for his signature, including from Stade Rennais.
