Chelsea have reached an agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku in a deal worth over €25 million.
According to Corrieredellosport, Chelsea have an agreement in place with Napoli for the sale of Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian international is expected to reunite with Antonio Conte at the Naples-based club with Victor Osimhen very likely to leave the club.
Osimhen’s future has been the talk of the town for a long while now. The Nigerian international is linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. While both parties haven’t agreed terms yet, the French giants are expected to strike a deal for his services sooner rather than later.
Osimhen’s departure will reunite Lukaku with Conte
While he still has two years left on his deal, Napoli are aware of the fact that they won’t be able to keep him in their squad for long given the amount of interest in him. Even if he does leave this summer, they are hoping to raise over €100 million for their 25-year-old ace who has a €130 million release clause.
It seems they are already prepared for life without Osimhen as Conte wants to once again work with Lukaku. The Chelsea striker had an exceptional spell under him at Inter Milan back in the day. His sensational form in front of goal led Conte’s team to glory and that is exactly why he wants the Belgian in his squad at Napoli.
While Chelsea were looking to sell the 31-year-old last summer as well, all they could manage was to send him out on loan to AS Roma. He had an impressive campaign as he scored 21 goals and bagged four assists in 47 matches.

Despite his performances, the Blues have no intentions to incorporate him into their team. While there are still two years left on his deal, the London club are desperate to get him off their books. They want to recoup a part of what they had invested to bring him back to the club.
They are all set to cash in on the Belgian international as the Blues have already outlined a deal with Napoli worth in excess of €25 million for his transfer. While Lukaku is currently on holiday, he is waiting to see what happens with Osimhen’s future because his departure will reunite him with Conte. He is not considering any other offers at this point as he has already decided on his future.
