Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham considering bids to sign Desire Doue, player open to Premier League move

Desire Doue is willing to play in the Premier League, which could open many doors, especially with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham keen.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Desire Doue is leaning towards a move to the Premier League despite widespread interest from continental clubs. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are critical candidates for the €50 million-rated French teenager, who seems destined to leave Stade Rennais this summer.

Desire Doue’s situation explained

Desire Doue is considered one of the top emerging talents across Europe. His consistent performances have led to many top clubs knocking on Rennes’ doors. Bayern Munich are making their best attempts to sign some of the most promising young talents around and would like to add Desire Doue to the equation.

The Bavarians have already seen a €35 million bid rejected by Rennes, and the report claims the Ligue 1 outfit are keen to receive at least €50 million. It is not a monumental price for some of the interested clubs, including PSG, which is on the lookout for a new left-winger following the departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Doue may not have flashy numbers, as his nine goals and assists combined last season do not show a great deal of attacking prowess. Yet, it is his consistency in games that has brought together a host of clubs chasing his signature. As for those continental clubs, there is bad news, as the €50 million-rated French teenager seems to be leaning towards joining a Premier League side.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham keen on Doue

While playing for one of Bayern or PSG might entice any emerging professional footballer, Doue wants a trip to England to begin his career here. The €50 million-rated French teenager’s price may not be a problem for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham.

His desire to make the switch across the channel will have boosted the London trio, who might now begin to make their approaches. Chelsea are always looking out for top talents with a younger profile, and for the price of Doue, he will undoubtedly entice their appetite.

Arsenal are also looking at a left winger with links to Nico Williams. However, with Barcelona likely leading the chase for the Spaniard, they do not want to miss out on another top young talent in Doue. Hence, Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar will keep close tabs on the teenager’s situation before deciding on a potential approach.

While Tottenham re-signed Timo Werner on another loan deal, they might still look out for a top winger on the left-hand side. Doue fits the bill, although the lack of UEFA Champions League football may prove too difficult for Spurs to entice the player of the teenager’s quality.
