Jaden Philogene prefers Ipswich Town over Everton amid Barcelona, Tottenham links

Hull City forward Jaden Philogene prefers joining newly promoted Ipswich Town over Everton amidst interest from Barcelona and Tottenham.

Ipswich Town are looking to make the necessary changes to their squad as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. Kieran McKenna wants to reinforce his attack ahead of next season, and they are interested in the services of Jaden Philogene. According to a report from Football Insider, Ipswich Town have a boost in their pursuit of the Hull City forward as he prefers joining them over Everton.

Philogene came up the ranks at Aston Villa and was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2021. While they have a few impressive loan spells away from the club, the English winger secured a permanent switch to Hull last summer in search of regular first-team action.

The move to the Championship club has done wonders for him as he had an exceptional debut. And now, multiple top clubs from across Europe want to sign the 22-year-old. He featured in 32 matches for the Tigers and managed to contribute towards 18 goals (12 goals, 6 assists).

Tottenham, Everton, and Barcelona keen on Philogene

While he still has two years left on his deal at Hull, he is expected to be on the move this summer. There is interest in his services from Tottenham, Everton as well as Barcelona. The North London club seek more depth on the flanks and feels the English youth international could be a great acquisition for the long run.

The Catalan giants do not have sufficient options out wide on the flanks. With Joao Felix returning to his parent club following his loan spell, they desperately need to sign multiple wingers, and Philogene has been on their radar.

Meanwhile, the Merseyside club have been tracking the youngster’s progress for a while now. They only have Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil as the two out-and-out wingers in their squad and are keen on signing Philogene to ensure they have enough quality on the flanks.

Ipswich Town to win race for Jaden Philogene?

Newly promoted Ipswich Town are also keen on his signature having seen him up close. They feel he could be a great signing for the short as well as the long run. While Hull City have accepted bids from both Ipswich Town and Everton, McKenna’s team are the ones in pole position to complete his signing.

Both Premier League outfits have submitted their proposals to the player and according to the report, the young winger has informed his friends that he prefers Ipswich’s proposal over the one presented by Everton.
