Chelsea have offered AC Milan the opportunity to sign Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Trevoh Chalobah.
Chelsea are looking to reinforce their squad ahead of next season. While their priority is to add more quality to their ranks, the Blues are also looking to sanction the departure of quite a few of their young stars. According to a report from HITC, the London club have offered Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Trevoh Chalobah to AC Milan.
Since the new owners took over, the Blues have spent a fortune on signing some of the best young players from across Europe. It has significantly impacted their finances and they need to ensure they do not end up breaching any FFP rules. To keep things in check, they are ready to sanction a few departures.
Broja, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu & Chalobah to leave
Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah are both academy graduates, their sales will result in 100 per cent profit on their books which could be a great boost. Broja showed huge potential while coming up the ranks but he hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations since getting promoted to their first team. With the club keen on signing a new striker, they are ready to cash in on the 22-year-old.
Chalobah did have an impressive start to his journey with the first team. But, things have fallen off in some fashion and he has gone way down the pecking order. The 24-year-old still has four years left on his deal with the English outfit but they seem ready to part ways with him as he is no longer a part of their plans moving ahead.
Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu are also expected to be on the move this summer. The Aston Villa graduate hasn’t been able to break into the Blues’ first-team setup since joining them in 2022. He only has 27 first-team appearances so far. Ugochukwu arrived at the London club last summer from Stade Rennais.
The Blues invested a significant amount to bring the 20-year-old defensive midfielder to the club. He struggled with injury and was on the pitch for just over 500 minutes spread across his 15 appearances. They don’t seem to have a place for him in their squad moving ahead, as a result, they are looking for a buyer.
Chelsea were in talks with AC Milan over a potential transfer of Romelu Lukaku and during those talks, the Blues have offered Milan the opportunity to sign all four of them. While their arrival could surely strengthen the Italian club’s squad and the player will also get the opportunity to feature in the Champions League, it will be interesting to see if they can afford such a deal with them not in the best of financial situations.
