Manchester City keen on Joshua Kimmich and Dani Olmo

Manchester City are interested in the services of the Bundesliga duo Joshua Kimmich and Dani Olmo as they look to bolster their squad.

According to a report from The Sun, Manchester City could push for the services of two Bundesliga players who are having an impressive Euro 2024. Pep Guardiola’s team are considering pushing for the signature of Joshua Kimmich and Dani Olmo to further bolster their squad and maintain their dominance.

Kimmich’s contract at Bayern Munich runs out in 12 months and the German international has been considering his future for some time now. There is no shortage of interest in him as clubs from across Europe would love to have him at their disposal.

Kimmich wants to reunite with Guardiola

While he is expected to decide on his future after the end of the Euros, he seems keen on making a move to Manchester City. The 29-year-old wants to have a second stint under the Spanish manager who gave him his big break back in 2015 at Bayern.

Guardiola is also interested in once again working with Kimmich. His arrival will give him another world-class option in the centre of the park and Kyle Walker will also have a competition for the right-back position.

While the player’s camp wants more clarity on the 53-year-old manager’s future at City with his contract running out, the player is determined to play under him and he is willing to move anyway.

Vincent Kompany is happy to have him at his disposal but the club are willing to let him leave for £40 million rather than lose him for free next summer. Despite interest from top clubs, the German midfielder prefers joining City.

City to return for Olmo’s services?

The Manchester-based want to sign the Bayern star and they are also interested in prising Dani Olmo away from RB Leipzig. The Spanish international has carried his good form into the Euros and City are considering reigniting their interest in him.

They wanted to sign him last summer and are now looking to return with a bid for the versatile star who prefers playing as a ten but can even feature on the flanks. With the future of multiple City stars uncertain, he could be a great addition to their squad and they have already made contact to sign him.

The 26-year-old has a release clause worth £60 million which will be active until July 15, as a result, the English champions need to move fast if they do not want to miss out on him again. With Olmo available for around half of the price needed to sign Bruno Guimarães, City find a deal for the RB Leipzig attacker more appealing.
