Chelsea continue talks with Leicester City for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Chelsea and Leicester City continue their discussions over Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and have given the green light to discuss personal terms with the midfielder.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have given Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall the green light on personal terms as they continue talks with Leicester City. The midfielder is keen on joining the Blues, and things could progress in the coming days, as there could be another deal in the mix.

Chelsea agree on personal terms with KiernanDewsbury-Hall

Chelsea have been chasing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and are making headway in their oursuit. A move is very close to completion as talks with Leicester City continue at regular intervals. The midfielder remains keen on a switch and to reunite with former boss Enzo Maresca after a tremendous season in the Championship

This pursuit seems to be designed mainly for Maresca as he continues to assert his style of football with the right players in the squad. Chelsea has already tabled a bid, as Leicester City has a specific valuation for the midfielder, who played an essential role in their promotion last season with 37 goals and assists in his name.

Meanwhile, the Blues reportedly have an agreement on personal terms with Dewsbury-Hall and could now hold progressive talks with Leicester to finalise the move. However, there are still things to be ironed out in the process, although there are big expectations this will be done in due course.

Fabrizio Romano also stated there could be another deal with a player going the other way. However, that might be a separate deal despite suggestions that Chelsea are planning to make a part-exchange offer. As for Dewsbury-Hall, he has set sights on playing at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea to miss out on another midfield target

According to the latest reports, Chelsea could miss out on Archie Gray, who, according to David Ornstein, is set to join Brentford. It’s not the first deal Chelsea have missed out on, as they also lost out in the pursuit of Michael Olise, who has decided to join Bayern Minich this summer.

Chelsea will have other priorities once they finalise the move for Dewsbury-Hall. They will try to find a quality striker. They could also strengthen their defensive ranks, as it does appear Chelsea will embark on another important summer window.
