According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona will have the opportunity to sign Jaden Philogene in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered the 22-year-old winger to the Blaugrana. However, the Hull City attacker is not a priority option for the Catalan outfit, although they will keep him as a low-cost candidate to bolster the offensive department.
Who is Jaden Philogene?
Jaden Philogene has found a stable footing in his career since joining Hull City from Aston Villa last summer. A native of London, he began his youth career at Pro:Direct Academy London before joining Aston Villa. However, the Englishman could not establish a foothold in the first-team squad at Villa Park despite impressing on his loan spells.
The 22-year-old was exceptional for Hull City in the 2023/24 season, contributing to 18 goals in 32 EFL Championship outings. Philogene found the back of the net 12 times while providing six assists. Meanwhile, the young winger’s progress at Hull City in the last 12 months has not gone unnoticed.
Recent reports have linked Philogene with several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and Crystal Palace. However, an adventure in La Liga might be on the cards if Catalan giants FC Barcelona take up the opportunity to secure the services of the English winger in the summer transfer window.
