Chelsea have run rule over Khvicha Kvaratskhelia many times

Chelsea have scouted Napoli star forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on multiple occasions ahead of a potential transfer.

According to Fabrizio Romano via GIVEMESPORT, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia might look to leave Napoli in the ongoing transfer window, and there is interest in his services from Chelsea who have scouted him on multiple occasions.

Kvaratskhelia has had an exceptional rise since joining Napoli in the summer of 2022. In his debut season at the club, he played a big part in helping them end their over-three-decade-long wait for the Serie A league title. While the Partenopei were not at their best last season, the Georgian winger still had 11 goals and nine assists.

The 23-year-old’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs have closely monitored him over the past two seasons. While he still has three years left on his deal, his departure looks very likely.

With Napoli failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, multiple top stars are expected to be on the move, and Kvaratskhelia could be one of them as he looks to take the next step in his career. However, the Serie A giants have flat out denied the possibility of a summer departure.

Chelsea could sign Kvaratskhelia

The player is currently focused on the Euros, and discussions about a move away from Napoli will take place after the end of the continental tournament. According to Romano, the plan is quite clear, Kvaratskhelia wants to leave in the summer and there is interest in his services from Chelsea.

The Blues have scouted that young left-winger on numerous occasions, and they are quite impressed with what they have seen from him. Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson, and Mykhailo Mudryk have featured on the left flank for Chelsea, and neither of them has been consistent enough.

As a result, Kvaratskhelia’s arrival could do wonders for them. He has been a consistent performer for Napoli over the past two seasons and given he is only 23, the Georgian will only get better with time.

While Chelsea seem to be quite interested in his services, they will have to make a significant investment to bring him to Stamford Bridge. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they do end up making a move for him after the end of the Euro. However, a move might still not see the light of day due to Napoli’s stance over selling him.
