Newcastle United have offered a package worth €20 million to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
According to Jijantes, Ferran Torres is the subject of interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies are keen on bolstering their offensive department in the summer transfer window. And they have offered a base fee worth €15 million to Barcelona for the Spanish international, with the package also including €5 million in add-ons.
Ferran Torres and his Barcelona travails
Ferran Torres has been in and out of the starting lineup since joining Barcelona from Manchester City in a deal worth €55 million in January 2022. The Spaniard was excellent in the second half of the 2021/22 season. However, he has not been the undisputed first-choice starter since his first full season with Barcelona.
The 24-year-old still enjoyed a superb 2023/24 campaign with Barcelona, amassing 11 goals and four assists in less than 2,000 minutes of game time across 42 appearances in all competitions. However, with Torres failing to become a regular for the first team, he faces an uncertain future at the Catalan club heading into the summer transfer window.
Despite struggling for regular game time at FC Barcelona, Torres’s stock remains high. A return to the Premier League might be on the cards, with several high-profile English clubs interested in him. The Spanish international is also a target for Newcastle United heading into the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United’s interest in Ferran Torres is understandable. The Magpies are scouring the market for a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Miguel Almiron. The Barcelona attacker has thus emerged as a viable target for Newcastle United.
The Magpies have presented their first offer for the Spaniard, offering €15 million plus €5 million to sign him from Barcelona. Considering the Blaugrana coughed up €55 million to secure Ferran Torres’s services, a package worth €20 million might not be enough to seal the deal.
