Jan-Niklas Beste has played his part in helping FC Heidenheim establish a foothold in the Bundesliga in the 2023/24 season. A native of Hamm, he spent his formative years in his homeland and has been in Germany throughout his professional career apart from one year, which he spent on loan at FC Emmen.
The 25-year-old has risen in prominence since joining FC Heidenheim from Werder Bremen in July 2022. He has gone from strength to strength in the last two years, although 2023/24 was his best campaign thus far. Beste contributed to 22 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net eight times while providing 14 assists.
