According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United are interested in acquiring the services of Aleix Garcia in the upcoming transfer window. The Hammers want to reinforce their midfield, and they feel the Girona skipper could add a lot of quality to their squad.
Aleix Garcia had an exceptional season with Girona. The 26-year-old played a big part in their dream run in La Liga as they ended up securing UEFA Champions League football for next season. He was involved in 37 out of their 38 league games and even contributed with three goals and six assists.
Garcia’s consistent performances for Girona along with his ability to feature in any role in midfield is what has resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. The Spaniard was in contention for a place in Spain’s final 26-man squad for the Euro on the back of his sensational 2023/24 campaign.
Unfortunately, he has failed to get into Luis de la Fuente’s final squad. While it is a blow for the player, it is a boost for clubs that are keen on prising him away from Girona, who are scouring the market for a replacement. With just two years left on his deal at the Catalan club and a lot of interest in his services, Garcia is now all set to decide his future.
West Ham pushing hard for Garcia

Xabi Alonso wants the 26-year-old at his disposal, and the Bundesliga champions are leading the race, with Champions League football to offer. But, there is interest from West Ham United, and they are ready to battle the German club for his signature.
