Bruno Fernandes agent holds talks with other clubs amid exit links

Bruno Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, has reportedly held talks with a few clubs about a summer move, but the player is leaning towards a stay.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s Substack, Bruno Fernandes’ agent has reportedly held talks with some clubs ahead of a potential summer move. The 29-year-old Manchester United talisman has continued to lean towards a stay at Old Trafford, but circumstances might dictate a sale, with several clubs, including Barcelona, showing an interest.

Bruno Fernandes to exit Manchester United?

Back in the latter stages of the season, there were reports of uncertainty about Bruno Fernandes’ future, with further stories suggesting Manchester United would not sell him. The Portuguese international is the captain of the team and is considered a crucial part of Erik ten Hag’s squad.

However, with uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag himself, things could drastically change in the summer should INEOS opt for an immediate refresh of the squad. In any case, Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, has reportedly held talks with some clubs, potentially to discuss a move either this summer or in the future,

There were some rumours of links to Al-Nassr, who are reporteldy willing to make a lucrative contract offer. In such a scenario, the Red Devils will likely get a substantial fee for their 29-year-old star, and Fernandes is likely to land a huge contract.

Barcelona are also interested, with the Catalan side unlikely to have the funds to bring a player of this quality in this competitive market. Bayern Munich are also keen and certainly can splash on a player like Fernandes should they pursue with intent.

Will Manchester United sell Fernandes?

As things stand, Fernandes remains a crucial star for Manchester United. However, there are reports suggesting INEOS will restrain big spending during the summer. They are instead encouraging the idea of selling some players to raise cash, with Fernandes one of their most significant assets.

Should they sell Fernandes, Manchester United will also save big on wages, as the Portuguese star is one of their highest-paid stars. However, it’s challenging to move a player of the 29-year-old’s quality, with the attacking midfielder not overly keen on a departure just yet.
