Manchester United are looking to sign the Crystal Palace trio of Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise this summer.
According to Football Insider, former Manchester United manager and club director Sir Alex Ferguson has met with Dougie Freedman regarding a potential move for Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Olise. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United decide to come forward with an official offer for the three players after initiating contact with the London club.
Guehi has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace for months now. The former Chelsea defender has established himself as a reliable performer in the Premier League, and top clubs are keeping tabs on his progress.
The Englishman could prove to be a quality acquisition for Manchester United, who need to bring in a quality central defender this summer. Raphael Varane has left the club, and he will have to be replaced adequately. Guehi could prove to be the ideal acquisition for the Red Devils.
Manchester United need to improve their attack
Players like Jadon Sancho and Antony have been quite underwhelming since joining Manchester United, who need more quality in the attacking unit. Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise could prove to be superb acquisitions. Both players are excellent dribblers and they can create goalscoring opportunities with their technical ability and passing in the final third.
The Crystal Palace duo is capable of operating on both flanks, and they will add some much needed cutting edge to the Manchester United attack. Signing all three players will be quite difficult, considering they will cost nearly £200 million, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can pull it off.
According to Football Insider, Manchester United are willing to sell majority of their first-team players in order to raise funds for their signings. Manchester United managed to win the FA Cup this past season. But a club of their status should be pushing for major trophies and securing Champions League qualification.
It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can bring in the right additions during the summer transfer window and bounce back strongly next year. All three players are well settled in England, and they could make an instant impact at Manchester United if they join the club.
