Manchester United mulling over swap deal involving Mason Greenwood and Joao Felix

Manchester United have reportedly been linked with a swap deal involving Mason Greenwood and Joao Felix, who is on loan at Barcelona.

According to Daily Star, Manchester United are now weighing up a surprise swap deal involving Mason Greenwood and Joao Felix.

Felix has been on loan at Barcelona this past season, and the 24-year-old scored ten goals and picked up six assists in all competitions. On the other hand, Greenwood was on loan at Getafe and he managed to score ten goals across all competitions and pick up six assists as well. It will be interesting to see if swap deal can be executed between Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

Felix has a contract with Atletico Madrid until 2029. But they are not keen on keeping him at the club. It remains to be seen whether they are willing to accept the swap deal. Manchester United are hoping to offer Greenwood to Atletico Madrid and sign the Portuguese star in exchange. Greenwood is highly rated across Europe, and his performances have been quite impressive for the Spanish club  this past season.

Atletico Madrid could use Mason Greenwood

Atletico Madrid could use a versatile forward like him, and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to let Felix leave and accept the English forward in return. Meanwhile, Manchester United need more quality in the attack as well, and Felix would be a superb addition for them.

The Portuguese international is highly rated across Europe, and he has played in the Premier League before with Chelsea. Although he did not manage to score a lot of goals, he impressed with his overall performance during his time at Chelsea.

The opportunity to join Manchester United could be an attractive one for him. He will look to end his ties with Atletico Madrid permanently, and a move to Manchester United could help him do that.

There have been rumours of a move to Barcelona as well. But the Spanish giants are under financial pressure, and they are unlikely to be able to afford Felix anytime soon. As far as Greenwood is concerned, he has been linked with Barcelona as well, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds
