Napoli keen on Mason Greenwood

Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is expected to leave the club permanently at the end of the season.

The striker is currently on loan at La Liga club Getafe. He has been outstanding for the Spanish outfit and he has 10 goals and six assists in all competitions.

His performances have attracted the attention of top clubs around Europe and Italian giants Napoli are keen on securing his signature, as per Fichajes. It will be interesting to see if Napoli can secure an agreement with Manchester United.

The striker does not have a future at Old Trafford and Manchester United will be hoping to get rid of permanently this summer. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to sanction his departure for a reasonable price.

Napoli could use Mason Greenwood

Greenwood is still only 22 and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a key player for Napoli in the coming seasons. The Manchester United attacker has the technical attributes to thrive in Italian football and regular football for Napoli could accelerate his development.

He is versatile enough to operate as a winger as well as a forward. Victor Osimhen has been linked for the move away from Napoli at the end of the season and Greenwood could be a quality replacement.

The player will want to compete at the highest level and a move to Napoli will be an exciting opportunity. They managed to win the league title last season and a club of their stature is expected to compete for trophies consistently.

It would certainly be a major step up in the attacker’s career. Napoli are not the only club keen on him this summer and he has been linked with the likes of Barcelona as well.

Given his situation at Manchester United, it is fair to assume that he could be available for a reasonable price. The Red Devils will have to be reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through. The likes of Napoli will not want to pay over the odds for the 22-year-old striker, especially when he is unwanted at Old Trafford.
