Chelsea have scouted Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this week as they look to sign a new number nine in the summer.
According to a report from HITC, Chelsea are interested in the services of Dusan Vlahovic and scouted him this week. The Serbian striker has made quite a name for himself with impressive performances for Juventus, and the Blues are looking at him as an option to bolster their attack ahead of next season.
Vlahovic came up the ranks at Partizan Belgrade before making the move to Italy and joining Fiorentina in the summer of 2018. After proving himself in Serie A, he joined Juventus in the winter of 2022.
The Serbian international has gone from strength to strength since joining the Old Lady. In the ongoing season, the 24-year-old striker has scored 18 goals and also has three assists in his 36 outings. While he is an integral part of the Juventus first team and still has just over two years left on his deal at the club, his future is not certain.
The Old lady have been trying to extend his stay at the club and they have been in talks with his representatives since last summer but nothing has materialised yet. As a result, clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation.
Chelsea scout Dusan Vlahovic
Chelsea are one of the clubs who are interested in the Serbian striker’s services. The Blues are looking to sign a world-class number nine in the summer to bolster their attack. They have struggled in front of goal at times in the 2023/24 season and feel a top quality striker could help them take the next step.
Their priority is to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. But if they fail to land the Nigerian international at the club, they could make moves to sign Vlahovic. So, it is hardly surprising Chelsea officials were present in the stands during the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday evening to watch the 24-year-old in action against Atalanta.
The former Fiorentina striker scored the only goal of the game to help Juventus lift the title. It was another quality performance by the Serbian sensation, and he could be a great signing for the West London club if they do end up pushing for him.
