Manchester United are looking to push for the signature of Barcelona’s winter signing Vitor Roque.
According to Mundo Deportivo via SportWitness, Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Vitor Roque ahead of next season. The Brazilian attacking sensation could be on the move in the summer and the Red Devils are keen on him in their squad.
Roque made a name for himself in the Brazilian top flight before making a move to Barcelona in the winter transfer window earlier this year. Since joining the Catalan giants, he has only been involved in 13 matches and has been restricted to just 310 minutes of first-team football despite having found the back of the net twice.
Vitor Roque to leave Barcelona in the summer?
While the 19-year-old striker has huge potential, he is lower down the pecking order at Barcelona. The report suggests they are considering sending him out on loan for next season if they find it difficult to register him for next season due to financial fair play regulations.
The Spanish club’s manager Xavi Hernandez was recently asked about the possibility of a loan move for the teenage striker and he didn’t rule out the possibility. If they do decide to sanction his departure, Manchester United are the ones that could make a move for him.
Manchester United want to sign Roque
The Reds Devils are looking to bring in another striker in the summer. They want someone who can support Rasmus Hojlund with Anthony Martial expected to be on the move after the end of the season.
While they will prefer a proven goal scorer, it won’t be a surprise to see them push for someone of Roque’s quality. The Manchester-based have already contacted the 19-year-old’s agent in order to get information about his situation at Barcelona.
United are keen and the Spanish club are considering sending him out on loan but the player has no intentions of leaving after this season. As a result, the English giants will have to convince him about the move, if they want him in their ranks starting next season.
