AS Roma are ready to battle it out with Inter Milan for the services of 28-year-old Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

According to Rudy Galetti, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is all set to part ways with the club in the summer and there is a lot of interest in his services. Italian giants AS Roma and Inter Milan are both keen on his signatures while there is interest from France as well.

Martial arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2015 from AS Monaco. The 28-year-old was an exciting prospect when he made the move to England. He was expected to be the next big thing. But, unfortunately, things haven’t gone according to plan for the French international.

While we did see glimpses of the talent he possesses, the 28-year-old was never really consistent enough and injuries didn’t help his cause either. Martial’s contract with the Red Devils runs out in the summer and he is expected to leave as a free agent.

AS Roma & Inter Milan to battle for Martial’s signatures

With the 28-year-old available for free, there is no shortage of interest in his services. AS Roma and Inter Milan are two clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The Italian clubs don’t really have the best financial situation and they are always on the lookout for the perfect opportunities to bolster their ranks.

Since Martial will be available for free, they see this as a great opportunity to reinforce their squad. Inter do have a lot of quality in their attack but they are looking for more depth and feel Martial’s versatility could help their cause.

But, Inter will face competition from Roma who are also looking for more firepower up top. Romelu Lukaku who is on loan from Chelsea has been their go-to man in attack this season. While Roma would love to have him in their ranks for the next season as well, there is nothing certain yet and Martial is someone who can help them if the 30-year-old ends up leaving.

While both Italian clubs are keen on his signatures, Galetti believes a return to France is the most likely option for the United forward. There is interest from Ligue 1 clubs in him. If he fails to reach an agreement with French clubs, Saudi Arabia is also a potential option for the 28-year-old.
