Crystal Palace are looking to reinforce their attack in the summer by signing Arsenal academy graduate Reiss Nelson.
According to a report from Football Transfers, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Reiss Nelson in the upcoming transfer window. The English winger has had very limited game time at Arsenal and he could be on the move in the summer.
Reiss Nelson’s time at Arsenal
Nelson joined the Arsenal youth setup in 2007, he came up the ranks at some pace and made his first team debut at the age of 17. He was promoted to their senior team in the summer of 2019 after an impressive loan spell at TSG Hoffenheim.
Despite being a part of their first team for years, he has only had limited game time. In the ongoing season, the 24-year-old winger has not started a single Premier League game so far. He has featured in 23 matches but has been on the pitch for just 654 minutes.
While his contract with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2027, he could look to part ways with the club ahead of next season in search of regular first-team action. The report suggests the odds are in favour of Nelson’s departure and the North London club would sanction his departure for a fee of around £30 million.
Crystal Palace want to sign Reiss Nelson
Crystal Palace are keen on signing the 24-year-old Arsenal academy graduate in the summer as they look to reinforce their attack. Their manager Oliver Glasner is preparing for life without Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.
There is no shortage of interest in Eze and Olise’s services. As a result, there is a real possibility of either of them leaving Selhurst Park at the end of the season. If they do, the Eagles will look to sign the Arsenal winger.
Glasner is looking at Nelson as a potential replacement in case either of their stars leaves in the summer. While he might not be getting much game time at his current club, Nelson surely has the qualities and Palace are willing to invest in him.
