Newcastle United yet to seal agreement with Tosin Adarabioyo

Newcastle United have not secured any agreement with Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester United target Tosin Adarabioyo.

According to a report from HITC, Newcastle United are interested in acquiring the services of Tosin Adarabioyo. But they have not yet reached any agreement to land the 26-year-old ahead of next season.

The Magpies are looking to reinforce their defence by signing the 6ft 4in Fulham defender. But Newcastle United will have to compete with Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United for his signature.

Things might not have worked out for Adarabioyo at Manchester City. But he has managed to make a name for himself while playing for Fulham. The 26-year-old has been a consistent performer for them. While he is an integral part of their first team, the English centre-back is all set to part ways with them at the end of the season.

Newcastle United yet to secure Adarabioyo’s signature

His contract runs out in the summer and he has no intentions of extending it. While he will be leaving Fulham as a free agent, he hasn’t agreed anything with Newcastle yet. Despite recent reports claiming that the Magpies have won the race for his signature, nothing has been finalised at this stage.

Signing a new centre-back is a top priority for Newcastle and Adarabioyo is at the top of their wishlist given his quality and the free agent status. Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman are both out injured and they might not be fully fit to start the next season, as a result, Eddie Howe seeks defensive reinforcement to ensure they have enough depth.

Tottenham, Manchester United, and Liverpool also keen on Adarabioyo

While they are pushing hard for his signatures, they will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur. Ange Postecoglou wants more depth in the heart of his defence. They are looking to add the 26-year-old to their squad following Eric Dier’s winter move to Bayern Munich.

Liverpool are also interested in the Fulham centre-back amidst uncertainty around the future of Joel Matip. Meanwhile, Manchester United have suffered because of injuries to their key defence. Moreover, a few of their senior defenders could be on the way out in the summer, and Adarabioyo could come in as one of the defensive signings.
