Juventus and Inter Milan keen on Thiago Alcantara

Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are both interested in acquiring the services of 33-year-old Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara.

According to a report by Fichajes, Thiago Alcantara’s future at Liverpool has been uncertain for a while now. With his contract running out, he could be on the move in the summer and there is interest in the 33-year-old’s services from Inter Milan and Juventus.

Alcantara hasn’t really had the best of times since making the move to England back in the summer of 2020 from Bayern Munich. The Spanish international has struggled with injuries and has only featured in 98 matches for the Merseyside club so far.

Injuries have kept the 33-year-old on the sidelines for the majority of the time in the ongoing season. While he did return from a hip injury midway into the season, Thiago picked up a muscle injury on his return and has only had five minutes of first-team football this term.

His current contract with the Reds runs out at the end of the season and they might not hand him a new deal because of his recent history of injuries.

Inter Milan & Juventus interest in Thiago Alcantara

With the Spanish international expected to be available for free in the summer, Inter Milan and Juventus are willing to battle it out for his signatures and could make a move to sign him before the start of the transfer window.

Both Italian clubs are looking to reinforce their midfield in the summer and they feel the former Barcelona midfielder could be a great acquisition for his ranks.

While he has struggled with injuries of late, they are willing to bet on the 33-year-old as they feel he could add a lot of value to their teams as he has the experience of playing at the highest level in Spain, Germany and England.

Both teams are currently evaluating the possibility of signing the 46-cap Spanish international. Since Italian clubs do not have the best financial situation, this could be a great opportunity for both clubs. But, at this point in time, there is nothing concrete from any club and it will be interesting to see if they actually do end up making a move.
