Aston Villa are ready to watch Baris Alper Yilmaz in action as they ponder a move for the Galatasaray winger in the summer window.

According to Sporx, Aston Villa are set to watch Baris Alper Yilmaz in action as they ponder a move for the Galatasaray winger. Unai Emery has been impressed by the player’s performances during the season and wants to have a detailed look at whether he fits into their setup ahead of next season.

Aston Villa to scout Baris Alper Yilmaz

Aston Villa are pondering many moves in the next window, as Unai Emery is bent on strengthening his squad to the best of his ability. The Birmingham-based side are eager to make it to the Champions League with a fourth-placed finish and will spend heavily to bring the right players should they manage a shot at the top-tier European competition.

Emery, fresh from signing a new deal at Villa, will want to strengthen several positions. One of them could point towards bringing in a versatile attacker capable of playing both wings and, if needed, even through the middle. Galatasaray’s Baris Alper Yilmaz could be that player, as the club plans to scout the winger.

Aston Villa scouts are set to scout the player soon, probably during their next game, as Galatasaray takes on Sivaspor next Sunday. Emery potentially wants to know more about the player after being impressed by his 15-goal contributions this season.

Aston Villa have been interested in Yilmaz for a while now but faces competition from Lazio for the winger. Galatasaray are probably open to a sale in the summer but wants to dictate the price for their star man rather than lose him on a bargain deal.

Galatasaray want €25 million for Yilmaz

Galatasaray have reportedly named their price for Yilmaz and wants €25 million to sell the winger with 15 goal contributions. Aston Villa have allegedly offered only €18 million, which they are confident about ahead of negotiations with the Turkish giants.

On the other hand, Lazio are more confident of landing the player, with Yilmaz reportedly dreaming of playing in Italy. Hence, the Rome side has only sounded out a move worth €15 million, although Aston Villa could use their relations with Galatasaray as the report claims an agreement could be struck between the two sides.
