Ryan Gravenberch has no interest in leaving Liverpool for a loan to Galatasaray, as he firmly wants to build a future at Anfield.

According to Sky Sports Netherlands, Ryan Gravenberch may have distanced himself from an exit from Liverpool amid rumours of a loan move to Galatasaray. The 21-year-old midfielder wants to continue at Anfield and build on the current season for a more prominent role under a new manager.

Ryan Gravenberch wants Liverpool stay

Last summer, Liverpool pounced on the opportunity to bring Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich after the 21-year-old midfielder expressed his desire to join up under Jurgen Klopp. His time here started well, but the high-profile nature of the move brought big expectations from the Dutchman.

He ended up being featured in 35 games across all competitions, scoring four times, with his first Premier League strike arriving against Fulham last Sunday. His goal surely kept Liverpool in the hunt for the Premier League title, and now he wants to stay at the club for a long time to come.

Recent reports from Turkey linked the 21-year-old midfielder to a loan move to Galatasaray. It’s a logical choice for someone not considered a sure-starter on a big Premier League side to go out to gain some experience and regular game time.

Many at Liverpool have done it in the past, but Gravenberch has no interest in following that path. The 21-year-old midfielder wants to forge a big career at Anfield and would take the experience from his first season into the next one and impress the new manager at the club.

Liverpool planning midfield signings?

Last summer, Liverpool desperately wanted a new holding midfield after losing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. They even went hard for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, only to see the duo join Chelsea in big-money moves. Alexis Mac Allister has played the holding role for most parts of the season, but the club might look to use him further up the pitch next season.

Hence, should they buy a new defensive midfielder and Mac Allister moves to one of the ‘eight’ roles, then that might diminish Gravenberch’s role. This is where the rumours might have emerged, although the 21-year-old midfielder seems intent on staying put and fighting for a place.
