Atletico Madrid are keen on signing the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso at the end of the season.
According to a report from Fichajes, the Spanish club are prepared to provide the 28-year-old Argentina international with an exit route this summer.
Lo Celso has struggled for regular game time at Tottenham and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time. A move to Atletico Madrid Madrid could be ideal for him.
The Spanish outfit needs to add more quality and depth in the final third. The 28-year-old is capable of operating as an attacking midfielder as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Spanish outfit.
The midfielder is at the peak of his powers right now and he will look to play regularly. Tottenham clearly are unable to provide him with that opportunity, and therefore a move to La Liga could be ideal for him. He has previously shown his quality in the Spanish league with Real Betis and Villarreal. He is certainly good enough to play for Atletico Madrid as well.

Tottenham should look to cash in on the playmaker at the end of the season. They will need to strengthen the other areas of their squad and Lo Celso is not a key starter for them. It would be ideal for Tottenham to sell him and invest the proceeds from his departure on a player who can help them improve.
The Argentine international will hope to play regularly at the stage of his career, and he must seek gametime assurances from Atletico Madrid before making the move. Apparently, the Spanish outfit could offer around €20 million for the player this summer. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to accept the offer.
The North London outfit are currently pushing for Champions League qualification and they need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions next year. They will need to bring in quality players during the summer transfer window and selling some of their fringe players will only boost their transfer budget.
