Liverpool are expected to part ways with three of their current stars, with each of those leaning towards a bosman move elsewhere.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are likely to part ways with Adriam, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara in the summer. The first-team trio are coming to the end of their contracts at Anfield, with the club unlikely to offer extensions.

Liverpool to part ways with experienced trio

Liverpool are entering a new phase of their evolution, with many changes already taking place in the background. There are new personnel in place, with Michael Edwards taking over football operations in the capacity of FSG’s CEO of Football, and expected to install Richard Hughes as the man to oversee football duties at Anfield.

With that comes plans with the squad, which involves a revamp of personnel, including some key departures that the club have planned. For instance, they might sell some of their stars and replace them with new signings, but there are those coming to the end of their deals at Anfield.

Joel Matip, Adrian and Thiago Alcantara are on expiring contracts, with the club not planning on offering extensions to the first-team trio. Either player does not feature in the club’s plans, with departures looking likely for those three players.

Adrian has no place with Caoimhin Kelleher, now the established No.2 behind Alisson Becker. However, the Irish international might still leave to become a No.1 elsewhere, with Celtic keen on signing him. As for Matip, he might have already played his last game for Liverpool when he suffered a severe knee issue, which will go beyond his current deal at Anfield.

As for Thiago Alcantara, he has already instructed his agent to find a new club, as per the latest reports. The Spaniard has played a total of 5 minutes of Premier League football due to a series of muscle problems suffered since the beginning of the season.

Liverpool planning significant additions.

Liverpool is also anticipating giant bids from Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah, and should they sell the Egyptian, they will look to bring an extensive name replacement. In their defence, they will likely sign a new left-footed star, with potential managerial arrival Ruben Amorim keen on getting his Sporting CP star Goncalo Inacio.

Either way, Liverpool looks like a club ready to spend big on players to improve and strengthen their squad in the summer. As for the first-team trio, they will have to find a new club to prolong their career.
