Dani Olmo has been in discussions with his agents regarding a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham among those keen.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Give Me Sport, Tottenham-linked Dani Olmo has been in talks with his agents regarding a move to the Premier League. The Spanish playmaker, who has a €60 million release clause, has generated much interest from English and Spanish outfits, and a move away from RB Leipzig seems likely.

Tottenham linked with Dani Olmo?

Tottenham are about to enter a vital summer transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou looking into the market for some stellar solutions. Chief among those is bringing a solid attacker that could enhance their activities in the final third of the pitch, with a striker and another playmaker likely on the cards.

Spurs have the money to spend on those players, with RB Leipzig’s €60 million-rated playmaker Dani Olmo linked with a move. So far, Tottenham have not seen big links with the Spaniard in the media, with Manchester City and Barcelona some of the biggest clubs to have been linked with the former La Masia star.

Tottenham could boost their chances if they qualify for the Champions League, as Postecoglou’s side have plenty of promise in them. Olmo himself must make any decision to join Spurs, as he could evaluate his options ahead of the summer, with Barcelona prioritising a move, while Manchester United are also keen.

Fabrizio Romano has not insisted that Olmo could have a big chance of moving to England amid the many links with top clubs there. He emphasised that the Bundesliga-based playmaker has been discussing a move to the Premier League with his agent. However, he did not name Tottenham in the equation, suggesting that nothing had yet been decided.

Tottenham’s plans to improve their attack

Tottenham spent a lot of money in the summer on players like James Madisson and Brennan Johnson to improve their attack at the expense of selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich. Postecoglou will want further reinforcements in the final third, with on-loan star Timo Werner’s long-term future with the club in doubt.

Postecoglou might look for a replacement for the German alongside a new addition, which could be a striker, playmaker or both. Hence, in the case of Olmo, Tottenham might have a chance to sign the €60 million-rated Spaniard, especially if they make it into next season’s Champions League. However, they might lose out if some big clubs join the race.
