Chelsea are willing to table a €60 million offer for Atalanta’s Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners after recently watching him again.
According to Sportmediaset, Chelsea could make a €60 million offer to sign Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners in the summer. The 26-year-old Dutchman has been sensational for the Bergamo side. A host of other top teams are also in the hunt for him, and the Blues are now regularly watching him in action.
Chelsea are willing to table Teun Koopmeiners bid
Teun Koopmeiners has been one of the prominent players for Atalanta this season. The 26-year-old Dutchman has 17 goal contributions this season (13 goals, 4 assists) and is shining for the Bergamo side. He was recently instrumental in the win over Liverpool at Anfield and had some teams watching him live in action.
Chelsea scouts were present there as the observers must have taken the opportunity to see how the 26-year-old Dutchman performed, as now the Blues are ready to approach. This is not the first time Chelsea have scouted Koopmeiners, with the London club watching over the Dutchman with regularity.
The report from Italy claims Chelsea are willing to table a €60 million offer to test Atalanta’s resolve. It is a good enough price for the experienced player, as the Blues are keen on adding a star of his ilk to their otherwise young group.
Teun Koopmeiners will likely leave Atalanta in the close season. But he will have more offers and pay attention to what Chelsea is proposing. Some stories insisted he would prefer a switch to Liverpool, although there are doubts whether the Reds are present in the race for the 26-year-old Dutchman.
Juventus and Manchester United are also keen
Chelsea are not the only Premier League side keeping close tabs and watching him regularly in action. Manchester United are also keen on the midfielder, with the Red Devils going in with the feeling they have an advantage over other rivals owing to their recent business with Atalanta for striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Juventus are also keen and could become a solid option for Koopmeiners should he decide to continue in Italy. Hence, the midfielder will have plenty of suitors lining up for his signature as he chooses to leave Atalanta, although the Serie A side’s asking price is not clear yet.
