West Ham United rival Tottenham in Mohamed Amoura chase

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Mohamed Amoura from Union SG this summer.

A report from Give Me Sport has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are keen on signing Mohamed Amoura in the summer transfer window.

Amoura has been in impressive form this season, scoring 22 goals across all competitions. He has six assists as well. The 23-year-old striker could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham and West Ham United.

Spurs will need to bring in goalscoring reinforcements in the summer. They chose not to sign a like-for-like prolific replacement for Harry Kane last summer. So, Spurs have missed a reliable goalscoring presence in the final third. Tottenham have been overly dependent on Son Heung-min. So, the interest in Amoura is understandable as signing him will help share the goalscoring burden with the 31-year-old.

Mohamed Amoura will fancy Premier League move this summer

The Algerian international will be tempted to join a big club like Tottenham, and it will be an exciting opportunity for him. He is versatile enough to operate as the left-sided forward as well as a centre forward. His versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, West Ham need a quality player like him as well. The Hammers need to bring in upgrades on strikers like Michail Antonio and Danny Ings. Antonio is in his twilight years, and Ings can be quite unreliable in terms of fitness.

Signing a quality striker could transform them in the final third. West Ham have two quality wide players in Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus. They have also shown interest in several other strikers, including Ivan Toney.

Mohamed Amoura would be a quality long-term investment for both clubs, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The Belgian club will not want to let him leave for cheap. He has a contract with them until the summary of 2027, and they are likely to demand a premium. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham and West Ham are prepared to pay a premium for him.
