Fulham and Crystal Palace are among the teams chasing Union Berlin defender Danilho Doekhi in the summer window.

According to Football Insider, Danilho Doekhi is a definitive target for Crystal Palace and Fulham ahead of the summer window. The 25-year-old Bundesliga defender could leave the German club in the summer when he enters his final year, with a move to the Premier League likely to appeal to his appetite.

Fulham and Crystal Palace eye Danhilho Doekhi

Danilho Doekhi has been a terrific presence in the Union Berlin backline and even helped them qualify for the Champions League this year. Unfortunately for the German side, they finished bottom of their group, thus suffering elimination from Europe altogether.

In any case, Danilho has been one of their excellent performers, but this may well be his last campaign at Union Berlin. The Netherlands-born star could move out of the club, considering that some Premier League clubs are chasing his signature, with Fulham and Crystal Palace considered suitors.

The Cottagers might be looking for a new defender, considering they might lose Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer when the season ends. They will need a proper replacement for the centre-back, and the low-cost acquisition of Danilho might do the trick.

Similarly, new Palace bops Oliver Glasner might have firsthand experience watching Danilho in action in the Nundesliga from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt. He, too, will enter the market for a new centre-back, both to strengthen his squad and potentially find a replacement for Marc Guehi.

Fulham Palace looking for a defender

Crystal Palace have been linked with QPR’s Jake Clarke-Salter ahead of the summer window, but they might prefer a player with top-flight experience. Meanwhile, they are linked with Danilho, the 25-year-old Bundesliga defender, but they might look at other options should they lose out on the Union Berlin defender.

Fulham are also keen on a defender, but will preferrably choose a Premier League experienced star over other options. Hence, the idea of Danilho might appeal, but he might not be their preferred choice to begin with.
