Arsenal are interested in the services of the 19-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation Breno Bidon and have established contact with his representatives.
According to Jorge Nicola via SportWitness, Arsenal are keen on having Breno Bidon in their ranks. The 19-year-old sensation has only played a handful of games for the Corinthians first-team and despite that, he is already on the radar of some of the top clubs across Europe.
Breno Bidon’s rise at Corinthians
The 19-year-old has come up the ranks at the Brazilian club at some pace. While on his way up their youth ranks, he attracted a lot of interest. Scouts from across Europe kept an eye on the teenage midfield sensation and a few of them could knock on Corinthians’ door in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Bidon hasn’t been promoted to their first-team yet but he has featured for the senior team in three matches and is expected to get a lot of game time in the near future. He is a great prospect for the future and that is why clubs from across Europe are willing to prise him away.
Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on his signatures. The Gunners are always on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their squad and they feel the teenager could be a great signing for the long-term. As a result, they have already established contacts to land him at the North London club.
Nicola was in talks with the teenager’s representatives and they have confirmed the fact that the Gunners have contacted them ahead of a potential move. They were looking for more information regarding the financial side of a potential deal.
Corinthians stance & Arsenal’s trump card
Meanwhile, Corinthians have no intention of selling the 19-year-old. They want him to continue at the club and develop there. The Brazilian club want Bidon to serve for their first team for a while. As a result, they haven’t set a price tag on him and have no intentions of doing it any time soon.
While Corinthians’ stance is quite clear, Arsenal could still try to prise him away. Brazilian clubs do not really have the best of financial situations, as a result, the Gunners could look to test their stance by flexing their financial muscle. On top of that, the North London club have a huge advantage in Edu Gaspar.
He was Corinthians’ football director back in the day and has strong connections at the club which could help him if the Gunners decide to go all out for the teenager.
