Manchester United could offer Mason Greenwood in order to ensure they get their hands on Juventus mainstay Gleison Bremer.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to bolster their defence ahead of next season. The Red Devils have struggled at the back because of injuries and they want to bring in a new top-quality centre-back to resolve the issue. They have their eyes set on Gleison Bremer and could offer Mason Greenwood as a part of a potential deal.

Bremer arrived at Juventus in the summer of 2022 after proving himself at Torino. He has gone from strength to strength since making the move to the Italian giants. He has established himself as a key part of their first team and has been ever-present in their backline this season.

The impressive performances have helped him earn a place in the Brazil national team and it has also put him on the radar of some top clubs. While his contract with the Turin-based club runs until the summer of 2028, he could be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest and Juventus’ current financial situation.

Manchester United pushing for the services of Bremer

Manchester United are the ones keen on his signatures. Injuries to key defenders have caused quite a few problems for the Red Devils. With the future of multiple United defenders uncertain, signing a new centre-back is a priority for them.

They want to bring in someone who can directly slot into their starting XI and Bremer can surely do that. They have been monitoring him for a while and are expected to make a move in the near future.

With Juventus desperately looking for attacking reinforcement, United are considering offering Mason Greenwood as a part of the deal to bring Bremer to Old Trafford. The United graduate is currently on loan at Getafe. He has managed to revive his career but his future at the Manchester-based club is uncertain.

They might not risk trying to reinstate him in the team and offering him in return for Bremer could be a win-win situation for both clubs. While no further details of a deal have been mentioned, one would expect it to be a player-plus-cash deal.
