Fabrizio Romano anticipates massive interest in 21-year-old Arsenal attacking sensation Mika Biereth in the summer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Caught Offside, Mika Biereth could attract the interest of many clubs ahead of the summer window after his impressive loan spells with Motherwell and Strom Gruz. Arsenal has yet to decide whether to sell the striker, something they will choose only to do after the season ends.

Mika Biereth in high demand?

Arsenal fans would know how devasting Mika Biereth was for their youth sides, and they had hoped he would get a senior loan spell sooner rather than later. The striker has been on the ranks for a few years, having signed him from Fulham after impressing on the West London side.

Biereth finally got his loan spell away from Arsenal and impressed with Motherwell in Scotland in the first half of the season. Despite his tally of six goals and five assists in 14 Premiership games, Arsenal felt there was another opportunity for the 21-year-old attacking sensation.

The Gunners recalled him from his loan at Motherwell and sent him to Strom Gruz in Austria, where he has been sensational. Biereth has notched eight goals and one assist in 11 games across all competitions. There’s already talk among the Arsenal fanbase about wanting to integrate the forward into the first-team setup, although there are chances he could be sold on for profit amid all the PSR-related activities.

Fabrizio Romano thinks the 21-year-old Arsenal attacking sensation will attract significant interest in the summer window. The Italian transfer guru anticipates many sides register an interest in the forward, although he insists the Gunners will only decide his future in the summer.

Romano said, “There will be a race for Mika Biereth this summer for sure, many clubs are interested in the young Arsenal striker.”

“But Arsenal have been clear on their position: no decision will be made now, internal talks about him will follow later this year. So on this one, interest is there and will likely grow in the next weeks but it’s not something serious yet.”

Arsenal could sell stars amid PSR rules

The Gunners, like any other club in the Premier League, are keen to balance their books and stay away from the PSR regulators for as long as possible. They have a few players they can sell in the summer and make a total profit on those from their academy, with the likes of Eddie Nketiah linked with a move away.

Biereth could also get sold, which would be reminiscent of Arsenal’s decision with Folarin Balogun last summer. The forward will want to return to the club and get regular minutes, as considering his form at Strong Gruz, he could have a regular place there next season or somewhere else. Hence, he might even force the issue and seek assurances of game time or a move away from the Emirates.
