Tottenham Hotspur could be presented with the chance to acquire the services of 27-year-old Barcelona winger Raphinha.
According to Sport via SportWitness, Tottenham Hotspur have a long-standing interest in the services of Raphinha and they could have the opportunity to sign the Brazilian winger in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Raphina’s time at Barcelona
Raphinha made a name for himself while playing for Leeds United in the English top flight. His impressive performances attracted a lot of interest and eventually, he ended up joining Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer of 2022.
The Brazil international had a decent first season but things haven’t been that great for him in the ongoing season. While he does have 15 goal contributions in his 28 outings, the 27-year-old has struggled with injuries. He has started to get back to his best and has the desire to end the season on a high.
Raphinha still has over three years left on his deal with the club but he could be on his way out in the upcoming window. While the Brazilian winger wants to continue at Camp Nou, the Catalan giants need to sanction a few departures in the summer to improve their finances.
Tottenham could get a chance to sign Raphinha
They want to bolster their squad by making a few signings but that can only happen once they have raised significant funds by offloading a few of their players. Raphinha is one of the players they could let go of. With Barcelona desperate for a big sale, Tottenham Hotspur could have the opportunity to land their long-term target at the club.
The London club have been interested in his services for a long while and they have been linked with him of late. Ange Postecoglou has had a great start at Spurs but he is looking for more firepower up top and the former Leeds winger could be a sensational addition to their ranks,
Barcelona have already received an offer worth €80 million from a Saudi Arabian club. There is serious interest in the 27-year-old from the Middle East and that could prove to be a big hurdle for Tottenham.
