Manchester United reportedly have no intention of selling Marcus Rashford this summer, despite Paris Saint-Germain links.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United will not entertain any offers for Marcus Rashford during the summer transfer window amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old Manchester United attacker, who signed a new five-year deal after hitting 30 goals last season, has had a notably underwhelming campaign to date, netting just seven times, while his actions away from the field have also garnered unwanted headlines for Erik ten Hag.
Rashford partied in a Manchester nightclub only hours after United’s 3-0 defeat to rivals City at Old Trafford in October, and he neglected to show up for training in January following a boozy night in Belfast. He has also been criticised for showing a lack of desire to play for the shirt.
PSG’s hold genuine interest in Rashford
There has been an element of interest in Rashford in recent times. He was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain again this week, which could provide United with a huge windfall at a time of Premier League profit and sustainability considerations.
It would represent pure profit because he is an academy graduate. Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires, and various reports claim the French champions have identified Rashford as a potential target when the transfer window opens.
As per GMS, PSG hold “real admiration” for Rashford, but any offer would simply be in vain, as United are in no mood to consider selling the England international.
Although United are prepared to let stars such as Jadon Sancho and Antony go, Rashford is seen as a key player for the next few years.
Manager Erik ten Hag backed his talisman to come good in a news conference last Friday, saying that financial benefits are outweighed by the player’s importance to the future.
The Manchester outfit have decided to continue supporting Rashford this season despite a drop-off in form, and they are putting faith in him to get back to his best.
