Liverpool and Arsenal have added Egyptian Omar Marmoush to their list of striker targets ahead of the summer.
According to Bild via Sport Witness, Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on Omar Marmoush ahead of the summer. The Premier League giants are reportedly looking for a new striker in the next window, with Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly demanding €50 million for the Egyptian hitman with 21 goal contributions this season.
Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Omar Marmoush
The striker market is set to be the most competitive of the lot ahead of the summer window. A host of top clubs around Europe are looking for a prolific presence in the frontline and have set sights on many names with tremendous numbers this season.
Liverpool do have a host of options to play in that centre-forward role; with Darwin Nunez their main man there, they might still look at a different name,e that could allow them to change their style. They have seen links to Lois Openda, the RB Leippzig star, among others, recently, which indicates they are indeed in the market for a new centre-forward.
Arsenal are also keen, although the Gunners have seen links to a host of top-level No.9s, including Victor Osimhen. However, the north Londoners are now looking at Omar Marmoush along with Liverpool, with the Eintracht Frankfurt star coming at the back of a solid campaign with 21 goal contributions this season.
Marmoush is keen on a Premier League move, with Frankfurt knowing this and slapping a €50 million price tag for sides to consider. The Egyptian has a contract with the German outfit until 2027, which does keep the Bundesliga giants in a strong position on the negotiation table.
Arsenal and Liverpool striker targets
Arsenal are linked with a host of other names, including Osimhen and Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres. There’s talk of Ivan Toney. However, the Gunners may have some reservations about the Brentford star ahead of the summer window, especially after Thomas Frank insisted on a £100 million asking price.
Liverpool are not particularly looking at a centre-forward as a priority signing in the summer, although they might jump at an opportunity of sorts. They might focus more on replacing Mohamed Salah should the talismanic Egyptian accept a new challenge in Saudi Arabia. Should he star here at Anfield, the Merseysiders may then consider a move for a centre-forward, which may come at the cost of someone else departing.
