Manchester City rival Liverpool in Pedro Neto chase

Manchester City and Liverpool could enter a direct battle for Wolves winger Pedro Neto, who also has Arsenal’s attention.

According to Daily Telegraph, Manchester City are set to rival Liverpool for the signature of Pedro Neto. The Wolves winger, valued at £60 million, could leave the club after five seasons this summer, with Arsenal also considered a contender in the race.

Manchester City, Liverpool battle for Pedro Neto?

Pedro Neto could become one of the big transfer stories of the Premier League, with Wolves contemplating a sale for the right price. The £60 million-rated winger could have a higher price tag considering how improved a player he has been over this season and the one before.

His qualities across the frontline make him a solid option for some of the top teams, and he has no shortage of interest. Manchester City were keen earlier, but Pep Guardiola and his coaching staff have an evident admiration for his talents. So, they could pin themselves in the race for the Portuguese attacker.

Liverpool are also interested but may have some reservations owing to his recent injury record. Yet, the Merseysiders will stay firm in the race and could consider him one of their primary targets to replace Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian follow Jurgen Klopp out of the club in the summer.

Either way, there is plenty of promise of an intense transfer battle between Manchester City and Liverpool for the winger. The Premier League title rivals are not alone in the hunt, as the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham are also considering moves for Neto.

Where will Pedro Neto go next?

While Manchester City and Liverpool are attractive destinations for any player, he has many other high-profile clubs chasing his signature. Arsenal are considered a strong suitor for the Portuguese international, as Mikel Arteta has chased him for over two years.

Tottenham are also in the thereabouts, but the Gunners may have the upper hand should they decide on pursuing a move. Wolves are expected to charge a premium, and these are some clubs capable of paying up. Hence, Manchester City and Liverpool must contend with the Gunners to capture the Portuguese winger, which promises to be an exciting race.
