Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all keeping a close eye on 20-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach full-back Luca Netz.
According to a report by HITC, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all keen on having Luca Netz in their ranks ahead of next season. The 20-year-old has made an impressive start to his senior career, and his performances have attracted a lot of interest from across Europe.
Luca Netz came up the ranks at Hertha BSC before joining Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2021. He has gone from strength to strength since moving to the Bundesliga club. His game time has gone up over the years and in the ongoing season, and he has been an important first-team player for them.
The 20-year-old full-back has featured in 24 matches in all competitions and has racked up close to 2,000 minutes. He has even contributed with five assists so far. Netz’s impressive performances have put him on the radar of quite a few top clubs.
Bayern Munich are one of the clubs keen on having the left back in their ranks, with Alphonso Davies’s future at the club not certain. But, the Bundesliga champions will have to compete with some of the superpowers from England.
English giants keen on Luca Netz signatures
Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all closely monitoring the young left-back. All three clubs are considering the idea of bolstering their defence by bringing in a new full-back, and Netz is quite high in their list of targets.
The Red Devils have struggled at the back as both their left-backs have been injured for the majority of the season. Erik ten Hag is desperate to have a young full-back to add depth and ensure similar situations do not arise next season.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is Arsenal’s only out-and-out left-back. While the former Manchester City star is doing a great job for Mikel Arteta’s team, Arsenal need more depth in that position and Netz could be an ideal addition to this young squad.
Meanwhile, despite having two quality left-backs in their ranks, Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old. The Blues are focused on having the best young stars in their ranks, and Netz’s huge potential is what attracts them.
All three Premier League giants have been scouting Luca Netz over the past few weeks as they consider the idea of pushing for him in the summer. His reports are quite positive, and they could make a move after the end of the season.
